Chris Purcell is joining us for the first time on our Listening Room stage!
Chris Purcell is a Mechanicsburg based singer/songwriter specializing in originals and covers in the Americana tradition. From blues and the roots of jazz to country, folk, bluegrass, soul, and even contemporary popular music from the ‘60’s on, there’s something for everyone. Resonators, 12 string guitars, and foot percussion all make for a unique show that blends styles in new ways.
Over the years, Chris has played almost every local venue either solo or with various music projects he’s been involved with. A wide range of covers compliment his originals including Dylan, the Band, the Beatles, John Hiatt, Leadbelly, Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Willie Mctell, Paul Geremia, Peter Gabriel, Tom Petty, STP, Billy Strings, and The Dead just to name a few. The list is voluminous and ever expanding.
