Late Show with Crippled But Free

  • 1219 Research Boulevard Hummelstown, PA, 17036 (map)

Catch our first late show with Crippled But Free. A show that’s guaranteed to be a lot of energy.

Crippled But Free is a 6 piece ensemble of veteran Harrisburg area musicians that “play” tribute to the music of the Grateful Dead. And this night they’ll be “playing” tribute to the May 8, 1977 show at Cornell University’s Barton Hall in Ithaca, NY by featuring several songs from that great night. A show that some consider to be the greatest Dead show of all time:

Of course, choosing a favorite Grateful Dead concert is remarkably subjective, ultimately swayed by personal experience more than any other factor. Yet, for many, 5/8/77 stands alone—so much so that an entire book, Cornell ’77: The Music, The Myth, and the Magnificence of the Grateful Dead’s Concert at Barton Hall (Conners, 2017), has been written on it.
